You may be right, but I haven't really noticed that. All just seems to me that their normal behaviour has been slightly more pronounced than normal. Hearts should have put something up on their website or something.

Same way Tommy Wright was mysteriously released from his Aberdeen contract, supposedly (I believe it is true). :howler:

What aren't Celtic fans demanding Lennon be sacked for not winning the title? They wanted Strachan sacked constantly, despite him winning three titles in a row. I'm sure it's for completely non bigoted reasons.

Lennon the player who called Aberdeen fans sheep shaggers in front of 60,000 witnesses? That, of course, is witty banter. Wonder if it would be considered banter if I called Lennon a fenian cunt in front of 60,000 people? Celtic fans have been like that as long as I can remember, so I don't...

Any word, other than what's on the BBC, about the Hearts coke heads, Bozi?

I don't know how many of the Old Firm fans really believe what they are singing, though, or if it is just done to annoy other fans. I sing all sorts of deeply unpleasant things at football, most of it with the intention of pissing off opposition fans/players. I'll sing about Bobby Sands (the...

But what is seen at Rangers and Celtic matches is just the most obvious example of sectarianism in Scotland. I'm not saying there shouldn't be punishements for the clubs, but you have to teach people that religious intolerance is wrong, rather than just stopping them singing a few rather dull...

True. The Old Firm need each other. Do the rest of the league need them? The SPL is dying a slow, painful death with them (arguably because of them) so I wouldn't be so sure that the league needs them. Rangers FC officials have probably be caught being more overtly sectarian than Celtic...

Why should the clubs be punished so severely? They should do more, but the problem lies in Scottish/Irish culture and not enough has been done to address that. Things won't change until bigger things are done, such as doing something about what is basically a segregated education system in...

There is just so much wrong with Scottish football, and that's without even speaking about what goes on on the pitch.

Still I'm sure the stewards at Tynecastle were busy doing something vital, like telling someone to sit down, when the guy was leaping out of the stand to get at Lennon.

But can't you see Celtic are the victims here? Sounds like a pretty average Celtic game. :howler: Ah, the wonderful world of Scottish football.

That was the incident I was referring to. I'm not going to say Hearts as a club should be punished, but it wouldn't surprise me if the authorities took advantage of the situation to make of show of handing out a punishment.

In general, I think a significant part of what's going on is sectarian. The attack last night, though, I am reserving judgement on. Something similar could happen to Lennon at Pittodrie and it probably wouldn't be sectarian, so I'll give Hearts the benefit of the doubt for now.

Still, would have thought Hearts could be in a spot of bother about it; it's not like this is the first time something like this has happened at Tynecastle in recent years.

I look forward to hearing the tims whining about this, given one of their fans ran on and tried to attack Gordon Strachan at Parkhead in the '80s.
