i always thought chiellini was fairly fast, no slower than mexes i dont think. I would rather see us purchasing kjaer or sahko. But mexes is vastly overrated, i certainly wouldn't lose sleep if he joined anyone else

no but there arn't many defenders that could be classed in the same league as cannavaro, but at the same time Vierchowod was a exceptional defender

what im saying is i see canavaro as a rather shrewed signing, so long we use the untouched funds to drastically improve other areas with quality and not players like quag and ledesma. The last time we signed a 36 year old defender, Juventus went on to win the champions league just so you know.
