He used to score alot with his left before that infamous injury. Somehow after he came back he relied more on his right and now it seems he's found his feet again- literally. :biggrin:

Perhaps its a blessing in disguise that Del Piero has to miss the two legs because of his injury, I fully expect us to go out in any case and he doesn't deserve to be taking part in this farce. That said, I'd be as happy as anyone if Capello got us out of this mess with or without Pinturrichio.

Well that depends on what your definition of "beginning" is...at the start of the season I wasn't too sure if he'd make the team especially since Capello dropped that rotation pretence and relegated Il Capitano to the bench full time. Not to mention the emergence of Luca Toni this season...

I'm glad he rounded his performance off with a goal as well, I think it's safe to say Lippi's got a ticket to Germany with his name on it. :touched:

The next resort would be benching him, I'd like to see Mutu and Del Piero start this weekend behind Trezeguet for once. :smile:

Del Piero's in good form now, but Zlatan's red card really limits our options. If either Del Piero or Trezeguet are injured Mutu will have to readapt to the forward role, while Zalayeta isn't exactly doing himself any favours with his performances lately.
