Asia certainly don't deserve 5 spots. But Oceania doesn't deserve a direct spot either. Normally Bahrain would have beat NZ, but they were extremely wasteful in both legs and paid dearly for it. IMO Asia should have 3 direct spots and one that goes to playoffs, take the extra spot and give it...

Yet another disapointment by the Bahraini's. Yet again they play better, create more chances yet fail to score. They even missed a penalty today. One set piece and NZ was through. Better luck next time Bahrain.

Hussain Ali and Jacey John were both non existent imo, the midfield did very well controlling the game and creating chances, but Hussain and John's movement was really poor. I think you guys might regret Salman Issa's missed opportunity and the fact that you didn't translate your domination to...

Big big disapointment from Bahrain today. They played a good game, and created a few chances that should have been scored. Mohamed Salmeen was probably the best player, controlling the tempo and creating chance after chance for the Bahraini's but his teammates just kept on missing. 0-0 is not...

I know the person Omair is referring to, and he's right. The guy is holding the Saudi NT back, its a common problem in the corrupt arab world, we used to have the same problem with Saadi Geddaffi

A dramatic ending to the game, i ditched the France game to watch your boys Sateeh. The never say die attitude in the end of the game was nothing short of astounding by the Bahraini's. A deserved win no doubt. Congrats.

The Commies are a rather determined team. But thats pretty much all they got. Determination and organization. They will be slaughtered in the WC. Asia doesn't deserve to have 4 and a half seats for the WC imo.

They're gonna fuck that kid up though. They should leave him in peace. Already they're hyping him up to Jupiter. Poor kid. PS: There's a big chance he's going to opt to play for France though

But really Hoori. You walk around in the streets of Morocco, Algeria and North African countries in general. You'd be shocked by the talent the kids there have. Zidane, Benzema etc are not a co-incidence.

Libyans are pretty good in Futsal. Our NT is very good. Granted you guys beat our arses in the last World Cup, but you guys are strong :P

This is an excellent point you're raising and one that i've been saying for ages. It's important that they get nurtured and developed in top football academies like France, Spain, Italy etc. You see players like Benzema, Zidane, Nasri and Ben Arfa for France that are of Arab origin and are...

Hussein Abdel Ghani. :P He was granted special permission. But honestly man, players like Noor, Malik Muath and El Qahtani should be in Europe, it will further develop their game and they are good enough to be playing in France, Holland etc.

As for the best Asian player. Its definitely Park and Nakamura, those two are a class above other Asian players. Then comes Muhammed Noor, Yasser El Qahtani and Javad Nekounam Most talented? For me its Nashat Akram the Iraqi player.

Ya man most Arab countries have laws forbidding their players from going abroad. They're more loose nowadays, but they can screw you in more ways than one if you leave a club against its will. There was a time in Libya when commentators were forbidden to say players names for gods sake. We...

You guys are a bunch of chokers anyway :D Always had the talent, always had the players. But never missed the chance to choke. When was the last time you guys reached an Asian Cup final? Certainly not in my lifetime :P But seriously. With players like Nekounam, Shujai and Madanchi you should...

I wouldn't go that far. If by the gulf you're including Iraq. Then Nashat is definitely the more talented player, even though he's been underperforming lately. Yasser El Qahtani is also a better player and so is Muhammed Noor.

ya man. He's making a strong claim for a spot in the NT though. With performances like today and against Iran. I thought Noor was dissapointing today. He was a shadow of the Noor we know in Ittihad, and i think if he wants to prove his point in the NT he should work harder and play better.

They aren't related though. Just similar names :P On a more serious note, did you see Ismael Matar's goal today? That kid is quality. In fact he's the only decent player in the UAE side.

I wouldnt say it was comfortable, it wouldnt have happened if it were not for Hazzazi's red card. Plus the Saudis came into this game with so many injuries, their two top strikers were both out with injuries and so was their captain.
