I have been saying this for ages. I would almost always sell for less abroad rather than strengthening another team in the same league.

£10m on Abidal, £12m on Chivu. Can't see them spending another heap to get Milito.

Unlikely they would spend that big on their defence. Have they signed Abidal yet? Think so but apparently Chivu didn't like the contract offer.

I'm not seriously suggesting they could challenge, just that it would be in their interest to sell him to a team outside Spain for a couple of million less than they could get selling to Barca or Madrid. I am always against strengthening a club in the same league.

So today can be added to the list of supposedly decisive days for Milito that still haven't resulted in an answer. As much as I want Milito, it doesn't sound like Zaragoza will budge on their asking price and so we need to move onto our other targets. Tell Zaragoza's management to go fuck...
