How was he treated like shit? He was in the starting line-up. He played poorly and was replaced by more competent Legro. Then instead of staying and fighting for his place, he ran back to Genoa. And I don't get why people call him a LB, when he has barely ever played as one.

Agree completely. I don't rate Criscito much, but he's definitely better than anything we have at LB right now.

Does he? How many times has he actually played as LB. At Genoa he has played either CB or WB (or whatever you wanna call that position), never LB. For Juve, I only remember him playing LB against Parma and he was really poor. And I guess he played LB for Italy in a few games, that's about it.

But he doesn't play as a LB for Genoa. He plays LM in a 3-4-3.

I think it's wrong to measure Criscito's ability only on what he has achieved at Genoa. Simply because he has been playing great for them doesn't mean much once he comes here. He is a guaranteed starter there, Gasperini trusts him and they play in a different system there. All that will change...
