There is no doubt he is a very good player, but of course with Chelsea being interested the value rocketed and he is just not worth £17m, he is probably worth about £12m. We can sign him for half what Chelsea have paid next summer when he fails at Chelsea.:eyebrows:

They had Ambrosini playing DM for a lot of the season as well as Gattuso. Also Pirlo helps out defensively. I would also doubt that our CBs next season will be as good as Nesta and Maldini and so would need more protection.

Was just thinking that. 2 DM are needed with attacking full backs but only 1 DM is required if full backs don't go forward so much.

There is a difference between good defensively and being boring. Liverpool are well organised and solid in defense but they are usually OK to watch in the Premiership (except against Chelski) but thier CL games tend to be pretty tedious. A player won't think about whether a team is boring...
