I think he would do perfectly fine as a let-winger... the guy has good ball skills and lets not forget how lethal he was around the box for Pool in the Champions League this year. Riise seems better going forward in my opinion.

Riise is a damn good player and he can really do it all on the wing. IMO he would be a great replacement for when Nedved resides on the left.

Actually the way I read it Secco wants a central midfielder for the left-wing department. Not really sure what thats about, could just be a translation foul up or usual bullshit.

I don't know why people think such a formation with two wingers would work. Malouda is a winger through and through, Camoranesi likes to travel up the right flank, and Nedved usually hovers on the edge of the box and towards the wings when playing behind the strikers. That leaves only Sissoko...

Well if that's the case then he should fit nicely on the left flank for us. It's just that when I've seen him play I wasn't fully convinced of his ability, that is, compared to the levels the media was hyping him up to be. Malouda would certainly be a nice weapon to have though.

I'm not entirely convinced over Malouda. We don't play a similar style to Lyon where he would have free reign up on the left-wing without having much defensive duty at all. But I suppose if we can secure him for a good price I'd give him a shot.
