I know it's a risky move as not too many english players have done well in italy but we need someone creative in the midfield. and i would only want lampard if he is paired with a real defensive force in the middle like a sissoko as i don't think a mdfield of lampard zanetti/marchiso might work...

If we get sissoko lampard would be ideal partner to him in the midfield. With sissoko handling all the defensive needs lampard would be free to roam the field in an offensive role which he accells at but only if we get someone like sissoko.

Granted I don't live in england and don't get to see Lampard every week but the few times I have seen him he doesn't seem that bad. Would you rather have Zanetti starting for us.

He may be overrated slighty, he's not as bad as everyone makes him to be but you have to ask your self what kind of player can you buy for 8 million.
