Also, lol @ Max rolling out 3 CBs to ensure a solid defensive line against Cagliari, conceding 2 pens, and having Gatti be the creative outlet down the right to bomb crosses in. That's not tactics, that's terrorism.
Yikes. Players have clearly checked out on Allegri. With Italy receiving the 5th CL spot next year, there is honestly no good reason to keep Allegri around. We could get the 5th CL spot without a coach at this point.
Just so everyone is aware, Allegri preferred to give MDS his first minutes of the season by starting him today in a key game ahead of McKennie, Yildiz, Weah, Gatti etc.
Great, this looks to be the latest in a long pattern of squandered CB assets. Says a lot about the club when we keep Rugani but get rid of players like De Ligt, Bremer, Demiral, Romero, Dragusin for cut-rate prices.
I guess what I don't understand is: why would we decide to break the bank for this kid? As you say, Southampton is not a club you go to looking for bargains. I would not expect them to negotiate the future fee.
So we are cool with paying Southampton for the privilege of developing their talent...
Pretty massive gamble by Giuntoli. Totally understand the desire to improve our midfield, and you could tell Giuntoli was shopping around with the reported interest in Henderson. But was this kid really the best available option? And for that price?
At the very least, we are on the hook to pay...
