  1. Euro 2020 - General Talk Thread

I removed 1 player, the one Xperd cited. That's my point, Belgium has 1 player (De Bruyne) that is ahead of any Italian player, otherwise the rest of the lineup does not contain more individual quality. Individual quality or brilliance doesn't come only from 1 star.
  2. Euro 2020 - General Talk Thread

I would have still rotated 1 or 2 players, but yes its fine either way. The way Italy is playing is very intense and ideally I want the team to reach the knockouts in the freshest shape possible. Most just nerves by me I guess. Yes, Chiellini is necessary even if Acerbi is excellent as well...
  3. Matthijs de Ligt

Remember Barca with Fabregas, terrible behavior from them as expected.
  4. Euro 2020 - General Talk Thread

Individual brilliance is not just down to a player though, France aside (because its obvious), we have better individuals than Portugal or Belgium. Ronaldo and De Bruyne are a class apart, remove them though (and any Italy player you want) and I'd say our remaining 10 players are individually...

Im surprised he didn't rotate any players vs Switzerland. At least he made a lot of changes and gave rest to key players during the match, but it would have been good to rest a few starters. Particularly since the bench is good enough to accommodate it. Pessina and Chiesa could have slotted in...

Jorginho plays 100%, same as Barella. Verratti and Locatelli share a position. Normally Verratti is the starter, of course Locatelli's form calls it into question now. If Verratti is fit enough I still guess he will play for 60 minutes or so with Locatelli coming on, or viceversa.

Yes I hope for some rotation vs Wales. Palmieri, Acerbi, Pessina, Verratti, Chiesa, Belotti to start? Its a risk to rotate so much though, it can put us in a complicated situation.
  8. Euro 2020 - General Talk Thread

We had never scored 3 goals in a 90 minute match in a eurocup until the Turkey match. Now we have done it twice in a row.
  9. Manuel Locatelli - DM - Sassuolo

It's most matches for 2 years, for both Sassuolo and Italy.
  10. Manuel Locatelli - DM - Sassuolo

    Is everyone convinced now?
  11. Manuel Locatelli - DM - Sassuolo

    Excellent player!
  12. Azzurri Thread

Di Lorenzo is better than Florenzi. He should be the starter going forward, very reliable and has crazy stamina.
  13. Euro 2020 - General Talk Thread

I think if we both win our groups Italy-France would meet in the semifinal
  14. Wojciech Szczęsny

The bad thing is that its not surprising to see him concede like that. Its expected.
  15. Azzurri Thread

I guess he should be available for the next match. Probably not starting I imagine
  16. Leonardo Spinazzola

Terrible move to let him go. Would make a difference in our team, fantastic player.
  17. Manuel Locatelli - DM - Sassuolo

Only in this forum is Locatelli's best position considered regista. He always plays mezzala for Mancini, the one time he played regista was his first bad match for Italy. At Sassuolo he plays vertically, in a double pivot.
  18. Azzurri Thread

Insigne is the best forward by far for Mancini. He is central to the way the team plays during the build up and is in the best form of all of them as well. Its Berardi vs Chiesa for the right side, or both of them together with Chiesa on the left when Insigne needs to rest. Berardi is ahead of...
  19. Azzurri Thread

Real shame about Pellegrini, the euros could have been a great moment for him.
  20. Summer mercato 2021-22

Relative to which club's attack? maybe PSG. Chelsea won the CL with Werner upfront, who is terrible, supported by Havertz and Mount. City was in that final without a CF. Old Aguero and a Jesus out of favor both bench to play without a 9. Sterling is in extremely poor form. Madrid plays Vinicius...
