I'm not trying to kill it :stuckup: I just think it's possible to read too deply into something and try to come up with explanations for things about which the movie makers just said "screw it, we don't need to explain how ____ happened. It's a movie" ;)

exactly ;) Movies leave gaping holes in plots all the time; sometimes u just gotta let it slide :) This reminds me of my English teachers, whom I suspected of letting their imaginations run a bit wild, spotting intertextualities and whatnot that I'm sure the author didn't give a second...

oh no, games are absolutely just marketing devices, but that's just how I interpet the information from them ;)

I like to think of the information that you get in the games as a sort of supplement to the movies, rather than a dead giveaway of the whole storyline :)

that was so stupid I was also annoyed that they didn't use the Predator sound as much as they used to :irritate: That's gotta be thecoolest sound ever

I loved the original Aliens and Predator movies. AvP looked pretty and there were some cool effects, especially when the predators were fighting against the aliens. For all the money they blew on special effects though, it looks like they didn't have $10 left over to hire a decent script...
