Spot on Martin, the same can be said for Guinness, Irish people are proud of how well it's sold worldwide and how it's become a big well known brand. So when we hear someone say it's not their thing it comes as a bit of a shock, as Sheik said, different strokes for different folks. Dunno why...

Stella is also known as wife beater here and in the UK due to its association with let's just say 'the lower classes'. Nice beer though. It's funny how different beers are viewed in different regions.

Have you ever tried it? I'll admit that the first pint definitely isn't the nicest but it's an acquired taste

Asahi is really nice, quite expensive here though. I prefer drinking Guinness on a night out and then switching to rum when I've had my fill of the black stuff

Kingfisher is nice also, tbh I've yet to try an Asian beer that I haven't liked. *insert stereotype Irish jokes here*

Really? Do you enjoy the taste of it? I'd put it in the same bracket as Dutch Gold. Not trying to knock Dutch beers obviously.

Can I ask the American users if Tuborg is considered a fancy beer, I see it in a lot of pop videos and movies. There's obviously a huge marketing campaign going there? It's just that it's considered piss over here, it's only sold in supermarkets and st a seriously low price, like a euro per can.

Fair enough, it's good craic though, we've kind of made it into a tradition here, 6 years going now :pint:

Have you never done it Red, it's a lot of fun. Endurance drinking at it's finest, half an hour per pub, penalty shots for being late and disobeying the rules.

It's great fun though! Dunno if it's the same with everybody that does it, but we've got a rule for each bar. For example there's the dice pub, you roll one dice and whatever number you land, you've got to finish your pint in that many goes. Another is the silent pub, where you can't speak until...
