Its a matter of taste, i think but most of his movies end up being cult classics, not mainstream audiences and i am with vitoria on this one, i have tried to watch Dr strangelove and lolita but just stop watching due to boredom, fmj was okay
He made films like 2001 a space odyssey, lolita, clockwork orange,dr strangelove, spartacus, full metal jacket, the shining just to mention a few good movies
They were warned not to do the movie because they felt it will put a strain on their marriage because of its content and also because the director Stanley Kurbick can be very intense with his direction as he wants so many takes before he is satisfied
Di Caprio is a gr8 actor imo. if you have seen Whats eating Gilbert Grape?, This boys life, Marvin's room, Basketball diaries then you will know what a quality actor he really is
Cage is one of my fave actors with the energy he brings into films and how cool he is, Con air was gr8, so was face /off and he was excellent in 8mm and snakeeyes also very cool in gone in 60 secs
Travolta is someone else wo seems to act in a lotta nonsense and am i the only one who thought Face/off would have been a much cooler film if Nicholas Cage was made the bad guy the longest in the film and not 1/4 into the film make him the good guy
