    Yes, the major problems with the stadium are the angle of the seats and the running track, but these can not be fixed with a simple renovation. IT would require a complete restructing of the entire stadium, costing even more than building a new one.

    I think that a small close stadium that is filled up would be a lot better than a huge one that is all empty.

    That is an interesting idea, but there are two problems: 1. Drainage, you would have to have an extensive and extremely expensive drainage and pump system. 2. Shadow, if you lower the level of the field, that will change the angles of the shadows, which could potentially cause problems.
