I'm hoping for Mexes, Deco, Aimar or Gilardino. Cannavaro and Emerson are big names but they aren't surprises. Any idea when Moggi will make this big announcement?

Now that I thought about it, it won't be a striker because they confirmed Trezeguet(will re-sign July 19th) and DP is always there.

    It's either a CB or a midfielder.

    During the transfer season. ;)

He said it will be a surprise " a la" Capello. It doesn't mean it will be a BIG name. I'm sure it will though.

    rooney..:wallbang:
Rooney would be a class signing imo. I personally think he's heavily overhyped and somewhat overrated, but he's a huge prospect for the future with talent and potential in immense abundance. Gilardino would be equally good or better, same goes for Milan Baros (could it be him?) but Rooney, I can definitely live with that.

Rosicky perhaps? I have this gut feeling that it's a playmaker. Deco has been linked, Aimar is a possibility... Hmm.. Van der Vaart maybe? I know for a fact that Capello was at a Holland game during Euro04 so it could be him.

    Maniche?
Yeah I was thinking about him but nah, we already have Tacchinardi, Brighi, Blasi, Appiah, Maresca and possibly Emerson, then again, that could be the reason why he's labelling it a surprise... :undecide:

It could be Joaquin or Vicente as well...

i have no problem with Rooney's ability..its just his age.... he still in a state where its too fragile... it can make or break him... IMO.. for his own sake.. stay at Everton where it is more protected......
