figo and zizou, I won't comment. I personally think both are great players but I wouldn't say they were THE players of last season...

beckham and carlos, I KNEW that those names will pop up somewhere.

She probably feels that Zambrotta should have gotten Carlos' place.

Zambrotta better than Robert Carlos? That's hilarious.
I think Zambrotta is the best left-back after Carlos. Anyways, maybe Sally didn't mean that, maybe she just dislikes Carlos.

I don't remember if it was possible, but I thought that Duff sould be on the left and Nedved in the middle. To have Beckham in the middle, especially since he's played there for only a few months, is just the usual Becks-mania rubbish.

Zambrotta IS better.... More versatile and more solid defensively.

the only reason why Roberto Carlos goes forward so much is because he knows that if he will get nailed if he stays back.... So if he keeps going forward and kicking balls into the box with a his left foot, chances are that something will happen sooner or later.

His set pieces are overrated.... one in a billion go in.

He has scored some good goals no doubt, but then again, any player who attacks as much as Carlos does would eventually score at some point.

More versatile, I agree. Solid defensively? I may not have seen the latest Juve matches due to poor coverage but I recall quite a number of defensive errors from his side, often resulting into goal scoring chances for the opponent.

Zambrotta is a great player, but he should have stayed on the midfield. I blame Lippi for that one.

I don't liek carlos,Zamb is better Defensivley (+ in offence).

Imagine a player that can play as a right wing + left back!! ---> ZAMBROTTA,+ he plays with both feet! ;)

Forza Zambro

I respect zizou, like I said he's a great player, and carlos is good too, but I just don't feel that they were 'the' players of last season... I just feel zambro did more for Juve than carlos did for Madrid last season or something like that.

that is, if this year is based on last season... are they?

thats impossible.
Reals most important player IMO is Carlos,he creates more goals than Zambro,he scores more than Zambro, but Zambro is slightly more solid in defence.
R.Carlos completely dominates the left flank, and i dont think that there is any left back in the world that can be compared to Carlos.
as for Zizou, few players were better than him last year,i think the only players that were better than Zizou were,Nedved and Henry.
Zizou deserves to be in the dream team every year IMO.

I agree to an extent. Real frequently played last year with no left-winger, preferring two dms behind Zidane. Carlos dominates a whoel wing for Madrid.
