Ancelotti at Napoli won't even hit 80 points next season

Good manager but he's no Sarri and can't work miracles with a small team like Napoli

If he proves me wrong I will be shocked

Milan failing FFP I guess nobody expected that one haha
    Underwhelming but i'll take it!

Ancelotti is the most overrated coach in the world. His league record is absolutely horrible. At Juve he failed, at Milan he only won one scudetto despite having an amazing team for 7 years, he lost the league title to Montpellier despite oil money, never won the league title at Real and got fired by Bayern for creating an opening to possible lose the Bundesliga title, something that any idiot should be capable of winning with that team any $#@!ing time.

Our very own acmilan vanished as milan's season was flushed down the toilet, Bonucci was exposed as a fraud, and his Pats got spanked in the Super Bowl. Haven't heard a peep since.
It's been a prevalent notion. Fallen sparks. Fragments of vessels broken at the Creation. And someday, somehow, before the end, a gathering back to home. A messenger from the Kingdom, arriving at the last moment. But I tell you there is no such message, no such home -- only the millions of last moments . . . nothing more. Our history is an aggregate of last moments.

Ancelotti may influence ADL to spend more though.

They will likely lose Hamsik and Jorginho. But if they open up the wallet and buy smart, they shouldn't drop off a whole lot. As great of a manager as Sarri is, his system is his system and he's not going to change it to accommodate players, which is what ADL has used as an excuse for not spending more on the transfer market. Ancelotti would come in demanding a bigger squad to compete on multiple fronts, I'm sure.

That being said, I see Napoli finishing 4th next year, behind Roma, and Inter.

Roma has a good squad as it is, and a lot of confidence after their CL run this season, that team is on the right path, has good ownership, and solid plans for the future. If they can add a few nice pieces to their squad this summer, they should pose the biggest threat to our 8th in a row. Inter is a wildcard because of CL, they will be competing on 2 fronts, but I also expect them to invest heavily now.

Well if you ask me he has more knack about how to win the league than sarri ever did, I think he'll make napoli a more mature and methodical team

Remind me what happened when the two last met?

Ancelotti used to be great, but now, not so much.

That was a freak season much like leicester winning the league, that doesn't make him a $#@! coach in the same way Pochettino and wenger are/were worse than ranieri

He delivered on la decima, everyone is quick to pick out his failures and completely over looking his achievements. It's Ancelotti not ventura we're talking about here

funny thing is most here wanted Ancelotti as the Italy manager even over mancini, yet when he's linked with napoli he's suddenly $#@! again...

Can you name the last time he won a league where he didn’t have the best team?

in most cases only the best team wins the league so your question is somewhat invalid.

Like I said montpellier winning ligue 1 was a complete freak season like leicester, what have both clubs actually achieved since?

He would be a great manager for a team that’s already well built (Napoli are at the moment, but their squad will likely get torn to shreds in the summer. He’s a cup specialist and would do well in the CL. His league record isn’t nearly as good enough as other top managers.

The last time Allegri and Ancelotti played against each other Allegri defeated him (2015).

I don't doubt Alncelotti's legacy, he won the league with PSG, Chelsea, AC Milan and Bayern and several CLs. However I doubt him because of his recent stunt with Bayern in the CL. Also bear in mind, he's speciality is the CL and he has no chance in winning the CL with Napoli.

and so what if allegri has already had one over ancelotti, he's still delivered what allegri hasn't in Europe

yet people only care for the fact that he lost a league title to montpellier and that he's never won the league with a team that wasn't the strongest in the league?

seriously some people need to up their game when it comes to even debating this

Like I said most if not all would have loved ancelotti as the Italy manager, yet because he's off to napoli he's suddenly discredited for anything he's ever achieved.

I never said ancelotti would win the league with napoli but he's certainly not going to go into next season with the same naiive, 1 style approach Sarri had

I doubt it. He lost the French league to Montpellier ffs.
Also look how hard he was failing in the Bundesliga last season. They were 10+ points behind an extremely mediocre Dortmund team when he was sacked. They were poor in the CL too, getting smashed by PSG in the group stages.
