This is the most important match we'll have until mid-late February. Perhaps we became too arrogant, thinking that serie A is in the bag, but in all probability it is in the bag, so the entire concentration is on CL.
In that context, winning this match secures qualification and allows us to calmly prepare for the most important part of the season.

On the other hand, we have a habit of becoming complacent when everything's fine. Looking at the way we play and the way our midfield functions, though, I'd take the risk of becoming complacent, instead of having to play do or die matches while we're in this form. Allegri needs time to make this midfield work and he'll get it if we beat Lyon.

I don't think players got complacent. They know Lyon is a small team compared to the elite teams and if Juve can't top the group, the team is not contender worthy. Our players are well aware of that.

We had a super buffon keeping us in the game at Lyon. We can't put ourselves in the same position again. I expect massive home support because as is already said; It's our most important game of the season. Let's do this. :flag1:

This is our most important game thus far. We can't afford to mess this up. Notwithstanding our abysmal, lethargic, easily outmuscled, lackluster, slow and predictable midfield, we should still win this. We are playing at home, and a win guarantees passage to the next round. However, if we wish to be considered serious contenders and progress further in the competition, we are going to have to drastically improve in terms of physical presence, pace, and intensity in the coming months.

Verratti in winter?
Annoying news lately that Inter are all over him. Yesterday Italian sources wrote about an offer of Kondogbia+money, while today French sources claim that Inter directors met Verratti's agent this week.

He looks like an obvious choice for us in the summer.

Hoping for another healthy loss to get the boys on track :allegri:

Nah, this should be easier than last time. Marchisio back, Cuads and Sandro on form and playing at the invincible Juve stadium it's gonna be a win. 2-1. Hope Allegri tries something other than 3-5-2 though.

The only way we'd Verratti is if he forces his clubs hands and only wants us. Even then, PSG's owner wouldn't let him sign for us most probably (tough motherfucker). Holding grudges is not the way to do business, he's being butthurt.
