He was mediocre in the 4-3-1-2 to be honest, Matri was more useful there. He also wasn't good enough to warrant a formation change which would have moved Tevez wide.

Coman showed his talent and did well in most games. Playing out wide suits him better, but he was good as a SS too. Only issue with him as a SS is he doesn't score as much.

Not only was he better than Matri (and Llorente, who was oddly out of form the whole season), there was no comparison.

Beppe is not the one in the wrong. Coman wanted to leave. We tried to convince him to stay.

We cashed 30 million for a player who came transferfree and has been here for a half year. (Only if Bayern buy him offcourse). So it wasn't at first a stupid deal by Marotta. The risk was that he can explode by Bayern, and he did so far. 30 million is still good for a youngster, but it can turn out into a bad move by Marotta if he will become world class.

Get over it, this are the risks and everyone was saying "Hahaha, 30 million wel done Marotta" after the transfers. Now turns it on another way and you guys do butthurt.

Matri won us the Coppa Italia.

    Enough said.

Mehhhhhhh. Good move for him, and it hasn't hurt us either.
Selling what looks soon be a 60m player for 28m is always bad business however.

Once again, Marotta didn't decide to sell him but his hand was forced. Coman is the one who wanted to leave. Not sure why this is difficult to understand. Clubs generally don't keep players who want out.

Bayern will obviously use their buy option. And no, that wasn't my reaction after the transfer. I'm more "butthurt" now though after seeing him doing really well for Bayern though.

Too bad he couldn't win us the equally prestigious CL. :D

We would've won the Coppa with Coman on the pitch instead. Or any other player really.

Anyway, don't wanna turn this into another Coman thread. Only EuroMax deserves two threads.

Mandragora will roflstomp this list by next year.

We also got Dybala this summer, a far superior player. If Coman is turning into a 60 mil player, Dybala is turning into a 100 mil player. Aside from that, because our coach doesn't think Dybala is a no. 9, and he's proving to be an absolutely fantastic SS, Coman would be absolutely superfluous in our current setup. He's a very mediocre SS, and thrives in open space on the flanks, something he is afforded in acres playing for Bayern. If we had kept him here another year, his value would have dropped or, at best, remained static.

Dybala is just miles better than Coman, and is already looking like 1B to Higuain's 1A (@Ocelot :D ), as far as Serie A attacking players go. Seriously, we have a 22 year old SS who is easily the second best attacker, and by far the best chance creator, in all of Serie A. I could care less about Coman. He wouldn't have seen the pitch at all here this year.

    :agree:

Had caudrado turned out to be a great winger then maybe Coman would have been useful in a wing based formation. He would be useless in the current 3-5-2 and in a 4-3-1-2
