The change of formation was kind of forced with the injuries/suspensions but credit for Allegri for going for it in a crucial game.

Every manager should base their team around the best players in their squad. 3-5-2 was a result of Conte wanting to fit in Vidal with Marchisio and Pirlo. There is no need to continue with it given that our midfield is our biggest weakness. I'm glad Allegri found a workable solution and one that has flexibility to fit other players (e.g. Pjaca or Marchisio).

It was great so see this new formation, there is no reason not to play Cuadrado, Higuain, Dybala and Pjanic together at their normal positions.
Obviously 4-2-3-1 is not the solution for this team since Dybala wants and should play as a striker, but it was great to see.

It's exactly like FM. Train Cuadrado for half a season to be DM and once he becomes "competent" throw him in there and give him specific instructions to attack

Mario, Pjanic, Dybala, Higuain gung-ho attack....I mean, I guess that's what it feels like playing against Barcelona

    FM Mode:
    Target man: Mandzukic
    Run with the ball: Cuadrado
    Distribute to Defender: Buffon
Cross to penalty box: Licht & Cuadrado

I could go on. Max went balls to the wall today

And about Ancelloti.Probably you know that he was our coach too.Or you don't know?I think(not sure it was 1999 or 2000) Saying that he is Milan or Roma fan is a pure media bull$#@!.Lippi also coached Inter,so he is an Inter fan?Like Trapatoni who coached Inter and Milan also .
You remember Capello(one of my most hated coaches) declares in February that year, as a Roma coach before he joins us that summer, that from all the clubs he wouldn't ever coach only Juve in future and at the end in July ended as our coach ,bringing with him Emerson and Zebina. We won two titles with him, with Ibrahimovic also.
Simeone is no near to Ancelloti or Conte ,both tactically or as a motivator.Another league we are speaking.
This post is so clueless on so many levels. Not only do you know $#@! about Simeone, who has essentially been the best coach of the past 3 - 4 years, but you glorify Ancelotti allegiance or neutrality and demonize Simeone, someone who barely played for Inter, not realizing Ancelotti is THE ONLY coach on top football who has explicitly dismissed us, said he would not coach Juve ever again. He litterally does not like us and doesn't see us as an option at all. He even said it's because of his Roma upbringing and Milanista past.

Litterally the last coach to use against Simeone in this manner.

I was shocked when I saw the starting 11. I'm really interested to see how we play from here on. Maybe its a turning point who knows. I would use the Coppa for experimenting now. This starting 11 means nothing's off the table now.

It was nice to see us finally move away from the cautious 352 from the start of the game. For once we had more attacking players than defenders

Really ? Didnt knew that. Thought it was cause of his failure when he was a coach here
The F1 remains as of 2013 one of the fastest production cars ever made; as of July 2013 it is succeeded by very few cars including the Koenigsegg Agera R, the SSC Ultimate Aero TT,and the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. However, all of the superior top speed machines use forced induction to reach their top speeds, whereas the McLaren F1 is naturally aspirated.

What an insane attack to have to defend against. Make matters worse, two of the attakers scored, while the 3rd provided the assist.

The 3-5-2 was too slow in posession when we have players like Cuadrado, Dybala, Alex Sandro and soon Pjaca. Even Dani Alves likes to play faster. And Higuain is beast of an attacker in everything he does, but playing back to goal really isn't going to draw the maximum out of him.

Somehow I knew the Fiorentina defeat was the one to wake us up, even if we lost to Milan and Genoa before, Viola really slammed it home.

Well with an "expert" like you nobody knows anything about football.Just you and your ultra stubborn-non compromising wrong ideas of football.Just continue with that .I don't give a $#@! or a second of attention but since you wrote some ,let's say with very soft wording, wrong theories I must reply.

1.How come Simeone is the best coach the last 3-4 years? By your fantasy football? What did he won other than La liga?
2.Remind me, you Simeone lover who beats Atletico ,year 2013-2014 in CL final? Anceloti with Real? That same $#@!ty Ancelloti.
3.Zidane beats Simeone's ass in his first year of coaching last year in CL final. As a rookie coach.Mighty Simeone.Or lost finals also counts?
So please stop posting arrogant bull$#@! posts about Simeone.Adore him as much as you want I don't rate much him so that's it.
I am not against him cause he is an Inter fan BUT BECAUSE HIS TEAM PLAYS ULTRA DEFENSIVE AND BORING FOOTBALL. Is it clear now for you or you need further re explanations why I don't want Simeone at Juve .Boring and non attractive football .Read again my post.He is playing the most boring ,ultra dirty, butcher tackles football so that why I don't want him here.
Being a Inter fan is the most unimportant thing for me about him.
And how you know that Ancelloti "doesn't like us and don't see us as an option"???You are his manager? But this is not even a question here.
I am not a fan of Ancelloti and if you read my posts you will see that I said that he is out of our reach. The argument was who is a better coach than Simeone.I will always choose Ancellotii and Conte i.Also I wrote that Alegri is a better coach than Simeone and he is, every day of the week, again ,every second of the week.
Read again the post before writing "expert" statements. It will help you.

The problem with the 3-5-2 is that when you neutralize Dybala there is no one to link the play forward (we used to have Pogba who was really good at this). There is also a lack of forward passing options if the B2B midfielders and/or wing-backs don't get forward enough, this leads to lot of back-passes when there are no options free further forward. With the 4-3-1-2 and today with the 4-2-3-1 our transitions from defense to attack has been much faster because there are more options in the forward positions. Also our approach isn't as rigid with these formations as it's with the 3-5-2. We saw some good short passing combos today and against Atalanta in the Coppa while with the 3-5-2 we've seen a lot of isolation football this season.

When the passing distances are longer and most of the passes are horizontal the defending team just needs to run from side to side and keep their shape. Today we mixed our passing enough to be unpredictable, short, long, fast, slow, we saw everything. I'm sure that with the right approach and the right players our 3-5-2 will work too but definitely been more impressed with our performances using different formations this season.
