At least we didn't get Sneijder.
We need an AMC more than we need a striker, though. Especially a striker like Matri, since we already have Llorente and Morata. Tevez is the one who needs to have a backup if anything.

I agree I was just being everyone else :D

I don't understand why we got Matri really, Osvaldo has a bit more strings to his bow wouldve been more useful IMO.

    It's funny...

we started this January mercato with the intentions of bringing in an AMC and a defender... we brought neither but instead we bring back Matri to replace giovinco  meanwhile Sampdoria are on the verge of securing Doria on loan and Correa has arrived how sideways have we gone.

 though they only broke out of the hosts chest and not the neck :p

Not only have we limited our creativity, we've also increased the average age of the team while signing a player who's injured and unable to break through at Milan, Fiorentina AND Genoa. :weee:

Seriously marotta is becoming increasingly indefensible 2 very side ways mercato, some glaring opportunities missed, none of the issues were addressed (AMC and a defender?) yet again! whilst we have become a revolving door for recycled junk and a haven for goalkeepers

They said we don't need a defender anymore, Barzagli is near back and Caceres is playing.
They also we are only going to spend on quality, obviously there was none. So we just got a replacement 5th striker, on loan.

of course there was but marotta seems to insist on dealing with issues that don't need to be resolved and avoiding ones that do

    Well, it could be worse.

We could be Roma and replace Destro and Iturbe with Ibarbo and Doubia.

People want to talk about lateral movements, that right there is the epitome of it.

If replacing Matri with Giovinco is a lateral move, then so be it. a 5th striker for a 5th striker who will cost nothing but salary for the next 4 months. Big deal.

Kenedy would have been nice but would have been more of an investment signing than one who would immediately slot into the first team. It could be argued that shaqiri was a missed opportunity, Correa I feel was too whilst if it is true about neto that deal makes little sense considering his rumored wage and the future of storari yet to be resolved. If you say another central defender was not needed then fine but Doria would have been a nice addition imo
