It was a glorious day. Banners were waving in the wind and the harbor was filled by the excited cheers of children as well the more silent final words of goodbyes spoken by the proud families of the leaving warriors. After everyone was finally on board of the vessel, the ships captain Soren Krarup finally gave the order to clear the port. Exactly twelve years after the first expedition led by the legendary Erik the Red, a second ship, the Mariatuzden, was leaving the icelandic haven of Breiðafjörður, not to ravage the lands in the south, but in the direction of the mysterious landmasses in the west. It left behind a cheering crowd, as well as the incarcerated and rather grumpy warrior Klin, whose prison sentence denied him the opportunity to take part in this adventure.

And so a long, tedious journy began. In the face of a stormy sea, limited food and water suppllies, and the constant confimenent on the very limited space of the ship, it didn’t take long for some of the vikings to lose their initial optimism. The voyage was especially hard on the notoriously seasick sailoress Bezzy, who spent many hours emptying her stomach into the ocean. Why, despite this for a seaman so obvious shortcoming she was still taken along, was a question many didn’t quite know how to answer.

The weeks went by, and all the ship's crew was ever catching sight of was water, water, and even more water. Some, like the ship cooks Pitbull and Fint, wer even beginning to doubt the existence of their destination. Then however, already at the end of another uneventful day, the long awaited signal was shouted down by the lookout PostIronic: „Land ahoy“. Shortly afterwards, the grey coastline was also visible for the rest of the crew.

During the morning hours the Mariatuzden finally landed on the cold, but considerably well vegetated coast. Quickly, a provisional camp was set up, and the two warriors j0ker and Kyle were sent out to scout the unknown land. The vikings waited and waited for their return, and were still doing so at dawn the next day. Finally, Soren Krarup made the decision to venture inlands collectively in search for their comrades. Carefully they entered the forest and, after a couple of miles, were picking up on a distant beating rhythm. The nearer they got to the origin of this sound, the easier it became to recognise it as the beating of drums. As they approached, they also heard voices, dancing and laughing. Soren gave the order attack, and together the vikings burst out of the forest and onto a clearing, which was filled by tents and a whole crowd of people. Among them, much to their bewilderment, j0ker and Kyle, well and happy, who were now gesturing their companions to lay down their weapons.

Though communication was due to the lack of a common language difficult, an agreement was quickly found between the first mate and skilled diplomat piotrr and the chief of the native tribe King ale, and the groups decided to live together for the time being, to exchange knowledge, tools and food. The members of the two groups reacted quite diversely to this new situation. Some, like the warrior Völler and the medicine man Fr3sh were quickly establishing a great friendship and the thick white smoke of the calumet was often seen above their tents. It was a similar story for the vikings Kate, X and Salvo, who were enthralled by the rhythms the drummers Dru and ALC struck up every night. Others did not live together quite as smoothly, as for example helmsman Maddy and the hunter Ford Prefect, whose encounters more often than not resulted in hefty arguments and the odd scuffle.

Overall however life was good for both the vikings and the natives, and as with all good times it went by all too fast. The seasons passed, and as winter neared a troubeling problem arose: Food was becoming scarce, and it became apparent that they could not sustain their way of life during the cold months. Thus, Soren Krarup and King ale heavyheartidly came to the decision of parting ways, with the vikings setting sail to greener pastures further south.

On the last night, a great feast was hosted, which stretched late into the morning hours. Suddenly however it came to a quick halt as IliveForJuve noticed a huge fire in the direction of the coast, where the ship was stationed. They quickly raced to the shore, but it was to late. The Mariatuzden was burning fiercly and soon only a pile of ashes remained. Fred , Radekas, and Quetzalcoatl, the three guards set up to protect the ship were laying unconscious a few dozens metres away from their posts. It was later discoever that someone had poisened their wine.

Who could have commited such a perfidious crime? Even the shaman Lion was completely clueless. It became clear however, that no single person could be responsible for this, but a whole group of perpetrators. The search for justice began....

Shouldn't it be only until the voting is over?

Not voting once = autolynch? Damn, strict rules. :shifty:
In the original rules imprisonement is supossed to last 24 hours. I chose a middle way :D

And yeah, same rules as last time ;)
Though I'll be less strict with people voting before 13:00 if they can't make it afterwards, e.g. Zach last time :D
