There have been reports that the Monaco owner is bailing out on the club therefore the reason behind selling their best players. So far, they haven't showed the kind of investment you expect from them this summer transfer window.

Ligue starting tomorrow, its going to kick off with Reims taking on PSG.

Ligue teams for the most part have not been able to keep their players, in the past Ligue was obviosuly vulnerable to the top 4 leagues(Italy, England, Spain and Germany) but in the past 3-4 years, Ligue teams haven't even been able to keep their players from going to leagues like Ukraine, Turkey, Russia and Gulf countries. That has really weakened the league over the past few years, still from time to time you get some interesting teams.

Other than the obvious two of Monaco and PSG, it will be interesting to see Marseille under Bielsa, he's renowned for playing an attractive brand of football, and despite losing Valbuena they've brought in Allesandrini, whose a talented and creative attacking midfielder from Rennes. Lille are always nice to watch, with their quick counter attacking football,; an added advantage is that they haven't lost any of their top players, Origi was loaned back to them. Another big loss to the Ligue, is one of my favorite coaches; Christian Gourcuff(Yoan's father), he was a big game manager, and one that got his Lorient team to always give big teams a run for their money whilst playing some really enjoyable counter attacking football, I always enjoyed watching his teams play.

Btw, Sagnol will be coaching Bordeaux next season and Makelele Bastia

Interesting to see how Batshuayi will be doing in his first season at Marseille.
His pre-season was very good, hope he can show the same in the league.

Yup, hearing a lot of good things about him. The Ligue along with the Eredivise always seem to be the first step for Belgian talents.
