Berardi has a better eye for the goal but Bernardeschi has impressed me more lately as an overall player.

From the penalty spot, yes, Berardi has a better eye for the goal. Other than that, Bernardeschi has shown that he's the more accomplished player in finding the goal and assisting his teammates.

    Both are average players.
Pirlo has no equal in Europe, Vidal is a champion. And Marchisio, though little noticed, when he is one hundred per cent [he too] is a champion.

'Average' is a bit harsh. But, yes they won't set the football world alight.

And to think that they would cost us more than Dybala two years ago is a bit disheartening.

At this point, i think bernardeschi as a playmaker would help us more than Berardi. I mean i would love berardi to bench cuadrado because we need more direct players and i do not dig cuadrado´s spray and pray style of playing. But to be honest...we need players who can take the bull by the horns on the 3/4 of the field and assist or score. Sanchez and Bernardeschi fit this criteria.

We have to remember that Berardi also plays in a much inferior team. If he was being fed by Badelj, Borja Valero and Chiesa he would look better. Instead of Kalinic, he plays off of Deffrel.

He has proved many times how good he can be, even at such a young age and surrounded by average players.

Can't be called average when his numbers put pretty much every youngster in world football to shame.

He has shown with consistency that he has been better then Bernardeschi in delivering until this season, tho players develop and break out in different stages despite being same age, it still defenitely worth something Berardi has been having impact for 4 seasons while Bernardeschi is just blowing out now. Neither are average, tho Bernardeschi high technical level, dribbling and combination skills has probably a better chance at adapting in top team then Berardi maybe.

But Berardi is a better finisher (besides overall underrated creative ability). The way he has been scoring goals galore vs Milan and other bigger teams is something I haven't seen Bernardeschi do yet, tho he is getting closer with this stellar season. But latter is less of a direct player then Berardi, who I see growing into a poacher type of winger as he becomes older.

Berardi was great at the start of the season but didnt look like his usual self after the long injury. its probably due to needing time to regain form, which is normal at a young age. meanwhile, Berna is having his breakout season so normally, he looks like the better player this season

I would prefer to have both to be honest. But I have the feeling Berardi taking seriously in account going to inter. For a fan like him the prospect of playing in his childhood team is great. Yes, an idiotic decition compared to Juventus.. but he seems to be the kind of guy that acts with his feelings and then reason. Paet of that is why he decided to stay in Sass and experience EL with them.

In summary, i dont think he fancies much the idea of coming to Juve and be the bench warmer of cuadrado. Inter will play him right away.

Also, it would be cheaper to buy bernardeschi as AM and move dybala to the RW. If by some miracle we are able to buy sanchez or any other really good LW, we would have 3 attacking mids with high endproduct (Sanchez,Bernar,Dybala).

    I would dig that.

Yeah agreed, I wouldn't be suprised if Bernardeschi ends up the better player (there is a reason he has faster track to Azzurri so far), but just saying people shouldn't have short memories. And forget all the work Berardi was doing previously. Half the season out, looking sluggish tho still assisting, and with a Sassuolo that looks way worse then before. They don't even play that attacking, their wingers used to be almost like pure attackers but now they play deeper and with less frantic gunho pace.

yeah Berna will probably come better in the end, not because hes more talented, but other reasons like his versatility and technical level like you say. hes managed to become a starter at a big club (for Serie A standards) already, despite being shifted around to every possible position. i imagine a club like Juve, whos shifting formations on a regular basis, would see someone like him as more useful that Berardi, despite him having maybe the greater potential as a creative force on that right side. imo Berardi made the mistake of staying at Sassuolo not one, but 2 seasons too long. should have come here after he had his best and most consistent season in 2015 (he was at the right age at 21 too), and capitalize on the momentum. now i dont see him eevr becoming as good as he could have been, if he made that step up at the right time

I think the moment Berardi steps into a good team he will explode again just as he was before the injury. Even in this slump he already has 2 assist and has been Sassuolo's best player. Yesterday he started the opening goal for the U21, he crossed it in to Chiesa, who headed it down for Pellegrini to score. If he goes to Juve, Inter, Napoli or Milan he will shine. I have no doubt he will end up benching Cuadrado, Candreva, Callejon, etc. before long and do his thing.

I also think that the moment he will go to inter (or to us?)..he will start banging it again.

IMO it has a lot todo that this sassuolo is pure shid and his injury is not making it easier.
