The most frequent scoreline during Juventus successes has been a 1-2 victory:
1931 – It was the year of the Quinquennio side’s first Scudetto triumph. Vojak put the Azzurri in front but Ferrari and Vecchina clinched the points with a second half fightback.
1951 – Danish striker John Hansen scored the winning goal for Juventus in the first of three 1-2 triumphs in the 1950s.
1954 – An early strike from Jeppson gave the hosts the lead, but Ricagni put Juve back on terms before the interval and then Boniperti netted what proved to be the decisive goal shortly after the restart.
1957 – Three years later, the visitors gained the advantage through Montico. Even though Vinicio put Napoli back on terms, Conti added his name to the scoresheet in the dying stages to seal three points.
1968 – De Paoli and Cinesinho both found the back of the net in reply to Juliano’s earlier strike. Dino Zoff, a man who would go on to write his name in Juventus history books stood as goalkeeper that day for Napoli.
1977 – Juventus’ first away game of the season took them south, to Naples. A goal from Pin cancelled out Gentile’s headed opener but Virdis snatched the winner for Trapattoni’s side.
1997 – Goals either side of the interval from Zidane and Bellucci tied the game at 1-1. However, former Napoli man, Daniel Fonesca stole a dramatic victory for the Bianconeri three minutes from time.
2000 – On opening day of the season, Juve registered a hard fought comeback win. Stellone sent the hosts into the break with the crowd celebrating a half-time lead. However, in eight second half minutes, a headed effort from Kovacevic and a shot on the turn from Del Piero turned the tables and sealed three points for the visitors.
