José Francisco Cevallos Enríquez, commonly referred to as José Francisco Cevallos, Jr., (born January 18, 1995 in Guayaquil) is an Ecuadorian footballer who plays as a midfielder for LDU Quito. He is the son of famed Ecuadorian goalkeeper José Francisco Cevallos.

2011 season

Having been through the club's youth system, he was promoted to the senior squad in 2010. He earned his first professional cap on January 30, 2011 in a 0–1 loss to Olmedo. The next match day on February 6, he scored his first goal in a 3–0 win against Barcelona, heading the ball past Ecuador's National Team goalkeeper Maximo Banguera. He played a total of 10 games in his debut season.

2012 season

On February 12, 2012, he scored his first goal of the 2012 season against Olmedo. He has made vital continuous scoring runs against Emelec winning 2-0, and Macará, winning the game 3-0. in just a few games for the club, he has become integral to LDU Quito's midfield play-making. Cevallos scored his 5th goal for LDU against Barcelona SC on April 29, making it 5 goals he's scored for his club with headers. On July 7 he scored his 6th goal of the season, and his first goal by kicking during play-time, winning the game 2-0 versus Manta. This was the last game of the first half of the Ecuador Serie A 2012 season, having scored an impressive 6 goals at the age of 17. On December 2nd, Cevallos scored the only goal in a 1-0 home win over Manta FC.

2013 Season


By January 2013 he has already grabbed the attention from clubs such as Juventus FC and Villarreal CF, who are said to have observed him by scouts.

not to intrude but, "great", is a bit exaggerated. ;) anyhow a loan deal to primavera, well I guess its not that expensive. not sure if its a perfect arrangement to make a youngster feel safe and secure though. think someone from another country, even continent, and that young might wanna have some sort of safety net or something, can't find the right word, too tired.
