Zambro really rocked! I was looking the match with all no Juve fans and they also could not stop saying how Zambro is grate. Really a perfect match from him, but this is not a surprise... he's playing so good since long time.

Davids couldn't have been very good because he was subbed at half time.

It was the visitors who had the best chance as Ryan Giggs took advantage of a poor Christian Panucci header back toward his goalkeeper but the winger's volley was blocked by the onrushing Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

Christian Vieri had a couple of headed chances go amiss - the second being a better of the two after Gianluca Zambrotta crossed in from the left-hand side.

Then Del Piero had the best chance of the half as his run and swerving shot saw Wales goalkeeper Paul Jones deflect the ball onto the bar and from the rebound, Simone Perrotta saw his shot deflected off Page and onto the post before Jones pounced on the ball.

Zambrotta then caused more problems with a low cross from the left deflected off Mark Delaney and headed goalwards but for Page to clear brilliantly off the goalline.

But the home side finally made the breakthrough as Mauro Camoranesi's cross found Del Piero, who headed towards Vieri but his shot hit the bar with the net gaping but Inzaghi finished the rebound to make it 1-0.

The Milan striker then got his hat-trick with a fine turn and shot, after Camoranesi headed the ball to him in the box and he easily went around Page to make it 3-0.

Camoranesi nearly made it four but his header was saved brilliantly by Jones but moments after, Simon Davies was adjudged to have brought down Zambrotta for an Italy penalty, which Del Piero finished with ease to make it 4-0.

    FORZA JUVE

Unforgettable saturday for the blackandwhites playing with their national teams at euro 2004 qualifying. Italy beats Wales 4-0 (one goal by del Piero, fantastic match by Buffon, Zambrotta and Camoranesi), France is close to be qualifyied after a double by Trezeguet, goal by Nedved for Czech Republic, important victories for David's Holland and Tudor's Croatia.

Here's the list of scores with Juventus' players:

Italy: Buffon, Birindelli, Legrottaglie, Zambrotta, Camoranesi, Tacchinardi, Del Piero.
Italy-Wales 4-0, goal by Del Piero, Group 9

    France: Thuram, Trezeguet
    France-Ciprus 5-0, 2 goals by Trezeguet, Group 1

    Holland: Davids
    Holland-Austria 3-1, Group 3

    Czech Republic: Nedved
Bielorussia-Czech Republic 1-3 goal by Nedved, Group 3

    Croatia: Tudor
    Andorra-Croatia 0-3, Group 8

Can anyone verify whether tonight's penalty was Del Piero's 23rd or 24th goal with Gli Azzurri?

its always good to see juve players doing well.

del piero just didnt score a penanlty though, he hit the crossbar i believe, once or twice?? and he was creating a lot as well.

zambrotta is turning into the best winger, he currently is at the moment.

Adrian - Yeah, DP did really well today and according to Trap he ruled his new role. Apparently Zambro did equally well, but wasn't he playing as a left back rather than as a winger?
