Regardless of that fail most Man U fans say he is their most important player and makes them tick.

It was stupid of him to go for sure but not sure if he is really failing.

But imagine him in a 4312 with Marchisio, Pjanic, and Matuidi

Yes, he's still their best player imo. One fail like this doesn't change anything.

That's like being the fastest white dude in the 100m sprint. United have almost no world class players.

To be fair to Paul, that's one of the reasons he looks like rubbish so often. He's their best outfield player, but struggles mightily against every half-decent opponent they come up against. He's the very definition of a good-times player, a luxury player.
It's been a prevalent notion. Fallen sparks. Fragments of vessels broken at the Creation. And someday, somehow, before the end, a gathering back to home. A messenger from the Kingdom, arriving at the last moment. But I tell you there is no such message, no such home -- only the millions of last moments . . . nothing more. Our history is an aggregate of last moments.

    It seems that way.

He is nowhere near hyped like when he was here. It must hurt him not being the uefa darling anymore

I love how you really dislike those good-times, lethargic, lazy skilful players ;D

    True. I can't stand Ozil.

Happy New Year to you as well!

He struggles cause he's always doing ridiculous $#@!. He pulls a move and beats 2 or 3 players with his skill or insane balance but instead of laying off to a teammate he just keeps running with the ball until he loses it or shoots from 30+ yards. If he didn't have such a massive ego and wasn't always trying to do it all by himself he could be such a more effective player for united than he is.

He did this sort of $#@! when he was at Juventus too but the team in general was better and not so dependent on him so we could afford to let him. it was spectacular when it worked and not near as harmful when it didn't. Being part of a 3 man midfield with greats such as Vidal, Pirlo, and Cheesio also allowed this in ways that he won't ever get at current United.

Dybala surpassed him in value rather quickly.

Good player problem is he needs a whole midfield built around him to flourish. You simply can not give him the ball and expect to bring the team forward if he doesn't have runners in midfield covering for him

A good player wouldn't need a whole midfield built around him to flourish. You simply can give him the ball and expect to bring the team forward even if he doesn't have runners in midfield covering for him.
