Former Juventus-player Carl Aage Præst died on Sunday, aged 89. Præst played for Juventus from 1949 to 1956, playing 232 league games and scoring 51 goals, before moving to Lazio. Præst's precise crossing helped make teammate and fellow Dane John Hansen topscorer in Serie A in 1951-1952. Præst was inducted into the Danish Football Hall of Fame in 2008 ffor his accomplishments with Juventus and the Danish national team - most notably winning the bronze medal at the 1948 Olympics in London - alongside his later Juventus-teammates John Hansen and Karl Aage Hansen.

We must never forget the older generations of campioni who layed the foundations and built up the club that we love.

RIP Præst.
