In foreign leagues we have Beck who is a very good and relatively young RB, in France there are some decent talents, but nothing of the same reputation as Lichtsteiner. He's not world class by any means, but he's a good player.

Remember what I said about Isla. He hasn't played in a 4-back system regularly. For both Chile and in Udine, he plays as a wing-back or wide midfielder. That's not what we are after. So at least Marotta is making sense from a tactical perspective for a change. We aren't using a 3-back system.
    And thank goodness for that.

on the face of it we definately did well to buy one of serie A's most consistant right backs without breaking the bank, couldn't have asked for a better realistic option tbh

thats what some Rome based Juve fans are calling him, good defensive work but going forward is a different story

I think that assessment of him is a little bit off the mark, but even if its true...fine. As long as he keeps that right side of defence on lock we can let Krasic do his thing.

Well, if he is mediocre at going forward like those Romans claim, I'd love to hear what they say about Cassani.

From what I have seen from Cassani's crossing in the last 3-4 months, Lichtsteiner's is better.

And no one can be as bad as Molinaro at crossing.

He is pretty good offensively. The Molinaro comparison is whack.

Those Rome based Juve fans probably expected us to sign the second coming of Zambrotta or something like that.

Lichtsteiner is a good right back, decent signing.

Yah the Molinaro comparisons are ridiculous.

Does anyone know his cross and also assist statistics from last season? CBF finding them, but Id be interested to see them.

He will be our best fullback since the Zambrotta/Thuram days.

I didn't compare him with Lichtsteiner, I said that the people who made the Molinaro comparison probably expected us to sign the second coming of Zambrotta.

    Big difference.
