I dont like the QF system this year, there are many more chances to repeat the same games over and over again, the teams from the some group should only meet at the final.

Dutch support for bereaved Boulahrouz

The Netherlands have cancelled all their scheduled activities for today following the announcement that Khalid Boulahrouz's premature-born baby daughter had passed away.

Three matches
The 26-year-old, who along with Orlando Engelaar was the only player to start all three of his side's Group C games, left a training session at the Lausanne Stade Olympique de la Pontaise early yesterday and was taken to hospital to be with his wife, Sabia, who was having complications with her pregnancy. This morning, The Royal Netherlands Football Association released a statement which said: "The players and staff of the Dutch national team are deeply touched by the death of Anissa, the premature-born little daughter of Khalid Boulahrouz and his wife Sabia."

Sad news.
My condoleances to Boulahrouz and his wife.

Any chance Holland will start both Van nistelrooy & Van persie?

their first 2 games against Italy and France they played 1 striker.
vs Romania they played 2.

Probably not, except for maybe Boularouhz, I don't think Van Basten will change much on his lineup from the first two matches.

Thats really sad about Boulahrouz  hope he and his wife are doing okay.

I think Germany will go through today - no doubt Portugal's playing better at the mo, but unreliable gut feeling says it's Germany

I hope Germany don't go through, they have played terrible football. That performance against Austria was horrible.

But like you said you always have a gut feeling Germany will do something.

I'm picking Portugal, Croatia, Holland and Italy.
I'd be happy with that, with a Croatia - Italy final :)
