Juve are set to continue their policy of finding young and promising talents all over the world and could look rather close to home next. This time Luciano Moggi has targeted Gugliemo Stendardo, central defender of Serie-B team Sampdoria. The Genoa side is however asking for at least 10 million dollars to let the 20-year-old player go, so Juve's always money-wise management might vote against the deal. Still the Italian Vice-Champions are not the only team to have set their eyes on the young player. According to rumours coming from Spain, Barcelona could also be interested in the player.

Juve have entered the competition for Olof Melberg the 24-year old Swedish defender currently at Racing Santander. Melberg who is worth approximately $10m has said that he wants to leave his club and believes that the management will let him go since their impending relegation from the Primera Liga will probably force them to part from their best players. As Roma, Barcelona and Tottenham are also rumoured to be after Melberg.
