You would swear Ale has behaving like Justin Bieber or Kayne West judging by the reactions here.

That being said, I guess that only means we know even less about what Ale is like. People here are eager to blame someone for their marriage failing, but the truth is that 19 years together is a very long time. Especially when one of both parties involved is a celebrity.

He's a businessman. What's to say he wouldn't make the right choice when in office? He's not kept abreast of military intelligence in the Middle East because he doesn't have access to it and perhaps doesn't have the time to be. But that's not to say he wouldn't make an astute decision when he has all the facts in front of him.

Which is normal and any business-man would do that. I still don't see how that can affect his legacy or his reputation from the person he is/was as a player or what he represented for Juve and Italy.

Off the field he was never or the type of person to stay out late clubbing, having scandals or public affairs, fooling around, showing off his fortune or what he can afford, he's been quiet and he's done everything to keep his image and reputation respectable, therefore if he's focusing on his brand that seems normal to me and trying to globalise this by using his name or image that is something normal.

That being said, I'd like to hear what Badass has to say.

Well, to be frank, I have much more respect for former athletes who don't feel the need to be a brand and just say whatever they want to say. Ale earned millions during his career. I'm not against him making a couple bucks more, but why does it have to be in such a cheap and irritating way? The ADP10 brand is just ridiculous. I'd never buy anything from it. Just like I wouldn't buy anything that has CR7 or Beckham's name on it. If your passion is truly fashion, try maknig a brand without your name.

Though that is largely irrelevant to the debate at hand.

I guess at the end of the day even successful business-men do fail or make mistakes, it's all part of growing and if Ale is still in his own brand it's because he's making few bucks out of it who knows.

CR7 built Hotels with his initial names on it and he's making pretty much a lot from that business I have few friends who went to Madeira and said the hotel is fully booked. Just giving an example, he may not succeed with his clothing brand but he still managed pretty well on the Hotels and few other things.

And you're right that is irrelevant to our debate

Yeah, but my point is if you want to be successful in fashion and this is truly something you like doing, why not start incognito? You don't need the money anyway. Seems like it would be way more fun to see if you can make it without your name.

You do know that there's almost no relationship between the two (Del Piero and Agnelli) mainly because Agnelli handled Del Piero's case pretty ugly don't you? Someone who was the first to pledge to stay with Juve whether it's serie b or serie c would definitely come to Juve stadium if he was invited.

Do you think because it was handled badly he has ill-feelings towards the club as a whole and why he doesn't seem as supportive?

If you're Del Piero you can't just come and watch a game at the Stadium. If you attend, you're expect to talk to a lot of people, including board members who may have disrespected him in the past. That doesn't mean he suddenly hates Juventus, but it does mean he might not want to attend games. We have a history of dealing poorly with former players btw.

I think hate is a strong word and mis-interpretation in this case, perhaps more on the side of bitterness

yes we have a disgustingly awful history of dealing with former players, Del Piero didn't even get any sort of testimonial or farewell match ffs
