Juve sign Amauri! Tuesday 1 April, 2008 (channel4)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus have reportedly found an agreement with Palermo which will see Amauri moving to Turin with Giovinco and Marchisio moving the other way.

The Old Lady are set to strengthen their squad at the end of the campaign in preparation for a Scudetto push and Champions League football next term and Amauri was seen as a prime figure in that plan.

Amauri has been close to a Juventus move In recent weeks, but details over the move had to be ironed out.

Juventus' initial offer of £11m and the services of Almiron was turned down. Palermo officials accepted new offer of £15m and the co-ownership of juventus youngsters Claudio Marchisio and the complete services of Sebastian Giovinco.
The Juventus youngsters were set for a return move to Juventus, but Juve coach Ranieri could not find any place for them in his roster.

The Turin giants hope that Amauri will bring that extra level of quality in their bid to fight for the scudetto and compete in the champions league next season.

Actually, even though Dom did put a little make-up and made the deal "official" , the links do lead to articles where it's said that Palermo accepts only 15m+ the youngsters.
Actually, according to Controcampo this deal is as good as done.

But it's nothing done or official, so don't worry.

P.S: Nice one here Dom. Much more realistic than the other ones. This time for a change i didn't believe the article at all when i saw that you wrote it, but i got a little scared when i read the articles in controcampo and calciomercato.
Unlike the other times when the oposite happened. :D
