I'm not sure Bonucci will be in the NT if he keeps playing the way he has for Milan. Euro2020 is almost 3 years forward

Bonucci would be 33 at that time. For a central defender he should be fine. But it sure looks like he's aging rapidly at Milan..

He's a businessman. What's to say he wouldn't make the right choice when in office? He's not kept abreast of military intelligence in the Middle East because he doesn't have access to it and perhaps doesn't have the time to be. But that's not to say he wouldn't make an astute decision when he has all the facts in front of him.

Feeling sad for him. At least he already won the WC and can look back at an astonishing career

Right now he's riding his reputation from Juve times, but he wont be able to do that for 3 years, unless he regains form he's gone from the NT imo

World Cup 2014, Marchisio - the stupid and nasty red card -- http://gfycat.com/WickedCreamyCero --

Marchisio is an injury prone, can not shoot, can not dribble and can not tackle. All he can do (for Juve benefit) is to imitate Storari role last couple years with us. That is become a team morale booster, a decent player when subbed in, a friendly player to fan. Otherwise I can see him play for Chievo next year along with Pepe.

What did I say, the guy is an injury prone

Never really thought about that tbh, if chiellini actually does go, who would get the arm band? Claudio or Bonu? I wish De Rossi had a year or 2 as a steady captain after gig goes

De Rossi would've been perfect for it imo.

He'll be nearly 36 by the time the next Euros roll around, though. It's time for fresh blood, I think it's a good decision for him to leave now.

Ahhhh, I see. He would've been a reasonable choice, for sure. Chiello would have been a pretty decent choice, too. If he were younger and not retiring.

Bonucci... he seems a bit too up and down to fit the bill, but Max spoke well of his leadership capabilities; guess we'll see what the next manager thinks. Certainly not a lot of good choices left, but I'm looking forward to seeing the next wave of players get introduced into the fold (trying to stay positive).

It breaks my heart to not see Gigi make the record of 6 WC appearances. Now I wont be watching the WC seriously, and hope some unexpected country to win it. Hopefully a team that has Juventino in their starting 11.

    Forza Gigi!!
