He's another one on Juve's youngsters that we should bring back!:flag:
what to waste as a 5th striker so early in his career? think about it, the most appropiate thing is for Lanzafame to be either loaned out or co-owned to another Serie A team in the frame of Siena or somewhere he'll get more than an odd minute or two every now and then

Trez will need to be replaced in the next few years. Lanzafame has a hunger to score. Like Bes said he'd be a good replacement!

Trez will remain as a top striker for 2-3 years, which in the meantime Lanzafame looses all confidence through having been played a mere 5 minutes every now & then and a coppa game if lucky.. A player his age needs experience and he won't get that at Juve because although he is good he is not exceptional (like Seba) to push for any kind of spot here at Juve

U-21: Lanzafame gets the nod Thursday 20 March, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pierluigi Casiraghi has announced his squad for Italy Under-21’s Euro 2009 qualifier against Azerbaijan.

The Azzurrini sit top of Group 1 with 19 points and will look to add three more when they face an Azerbaijan side, who are propping up the table with a solitary point.

Casiraghi’s men travel to Baku’s Tofig Bahramov Stadium next Tuesday after meeting up this weekend in Rome.

The only new face is highly rated Bari striker Davide Lanzafame, who has drawn comparisons to Alessandro Del Piero.

Lazio’s Lorenzo De Silvestri and Marco Pisano of Cagliari return to the fold after recent injuries.

Italy Under-21 squad:

Goalkeepers: Alfonso (Venezia), Consigli (Rimini), Sirigu (Cremonese)
Defenders: Bocchetti (Frosinone), De Ceglie (Siena), De Silvestri (Lazio), Marzoratti (Empoli), Motta (Torino), Pisano (Cagliari), M Rossi (Parma)
Midfielders: Bolzoni (Inter), Cigarini (Parma), Dessena (Parma), Giovinco (Empoli), Marchisio (Empoli), Morosini (Vicenza), Russotto (Treviso)
Strikers: Acquafresca (Cagliari), Lanzafame (Bari), Osvaldo (Fiorentina), G Rossi (Villarreal)

I hope he does not end up like the past players who earned comparisons to Del Piero...
