That must be it then :D

Here are some quotes from that site:

The World Club Ranking was started monthly since January 1st, 1991 and the information is globally distributed early in the following month. This ranking takes into consideration the results of twelve months of continental and intercontinental competitions, national league matches (including play-offs) and the national cup. In those countries having several national cup competitions, only the one organised by the national federation is included.
All national leagues are rated at four levels based upon performance. In this grouping, each country (where the club plays) is assigned a number indicating the performance level of each national league. Clubs in the highest level leagues receive 4 points for each match won, 2 for a draw and 0 for a defeat. Level 2 is assigned 3 pts. (win), 1.5 (draw) and 0 (lost), and so on with the next lower levels. The same system applies for the play-off matches.
In the continental competitions, all clubs receive the same number of points at all stages regardless of the performance level of their leagues.
I still don't get how Celtic can be ranked over Feyenoord. Unless the Scottish league is somehow ranked higher than the Dutch league but I don't think that's the case in Uefa's rankings so why would it be the case at FIFA?

    Erik.
Even though this list has Celtic in sixth, even I know it's a load of bull. I thought I'd post it just to see the reaction.

I have no idea how they rank the leagues, but maybe the problem is that Celtic have done most for Scottish football over the last two years whereas the Dutch league can rely on two, maybe three teams boosting their ranking.

I think the league ranking on that web site have the Dutch league above the Scottish consistantly, which is ranking between 10th-13th over the last four, five years.

The ESPN list looks more probable

Also, you have to remember that in the SPL Celtic usually earn 90-100 points a year which when place in the points catagory for even the second level of national leagues will heavily boost the points ratio.

In the Dutch league, the top clubs earn less points as they have harder games and better competition and although ranked higher they still won't get the same points ratio

Manchester United clinched its eighth English Premier League title in 11 years after Arsenal lost to Leeds over the weekend. Ruud van Nistelrooy continued his torrid scoring pace with three more goals against Charlton on Saturday.

Juventus is within two points of clinching the Serie A title for the fifth time in the last decade. Juve missed a chance to wrap up the title on Saturday when the club was held to a scoreless draw in Rome against Lazio.

Juve leads an Italian trio into the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League this week. Milan and Inter will square off in the first leg of the city derby to see who will advance to the May 28 final at Old Trafford.

FC Porto clinched the Portuguese league title for the first time since 1999 with a 5-0 win over Santa Clara on Sunday. Porto will aim for the double in two weeks when it faces Celtic for the UEFA Cup final in Seville.

Celtic is within three points of SPL leaders Rangers after the 'Gers were held to a 2-2 draw by Dundee on Sunday. The SPL could be decided on goal differential on the final day of the season.

Besiktas and PSV continue to dominate the Turkish and Dutch league, respectively.

The second legs of the second round of the Copa Libertadores kick off this week. Boca will need to overcome a 1-0 deficit to Paysandu. Last week, River Plate took a 2-1 first leg advantage over Corinthians in Buenos Aires.

Barcelona and Greek league leaders Panathinaikos return to the Top 25 after victories on the weekend.
