He's one of the most intelligent players on the team. Reading of the game defensively is insane. Easily best in the world.

He $#@!s up because he was born with 2 right feet and he's left-footed.

Also ya, the stereotype that he's actually a caveman off the pitch is retarded. Speaks multiple languages and has a masters like you said. People would think Bonucci is some sort of scholar off the pitch but really that's more like Chiellini.

He is just awkward, clumsy and little reckless. Doesn't mean he isn't very intelligent

My flight landed in the 83rd minute, so I actually missed this match.

Will still assert that anybody who wants Chiello to retire, or thinks he always bottles it in CL, is hugely overreacting -- or brain dead.

Also: this guy is a $#@!ing legend, give your heads a shake and show some respect. Georgio will pull it together for the second leg.

Buffon always loses the final. 2006 is exception here.
    Higuain loses all major finals.
Barzagli hasnt won any as a starter.

So many others can be listed. What has Pjanic won outside Italy?

If we look history then everyone post 96 is CL flop? Montero lost 3 finals. Davids 2. Etc.

Chiellini is still world class in many respects but he's very slow. Not at all good defending a counter attack.

Him and Barzagli should be phased out

We need to look to the future and relying on 33 year old Chiellini is not ideal for our starting 11

Debatable how good he was against Barca.

    Edit: Never mind. I'm a fair-weather fan.

Chiello isn't slower than the majority of CB's around.

Still has 3 good years in him, Don't look for problems where there are non.

Man needs longer studs like maybe 2 inches long. Maybe then he'll stop slipping.
