with guus hiddink at the helm and player like culina, bresciano, viduka and cahill, can this finally be the time to break the duck?

the past 4 have been verse:
    argentina
    iran
    uruguay

i think the game against iran was the most heartbreaking. haha poor bastards.

    2002 Australia-Uruguay
    1998 Australia-Iran
    1994 Australia-Argentina

I dont think it was Uruguay twice cuz I am sure 1994 was Argentina (Marradona baby;))

Uruguay HAVE to wipe the floor with the Aussies. It's one of football's last remaining traditions :touched:
Erik, I've seen you mention on several occasions that it's a tradition for Uruguay to knock Australia out at the last hurdle every four years... I don't really understand how you got this impression, since we've most recently fallen to Scotland, Argentina and Iran. I hate to burst your bubble, but it's not as traditional as you'd like to imagine..

EDIT: Oh right, that was already clarified a few posts above

I'll be at the second leg match in Sydney. Go Aussie Go
