i woulg go for the same formation as we played wiht empoli maybe balzaretti to start in defense and del piero gets on in the 2nd half
Why would you START with Balzaretti? Is there somehting wrong with Pessotto or Zebina?

well, at the moment yes, both are injured, thats why neither of them are call for the Champions League game... but I guess that probably one and maybe even both of them could be ready for the match against Ascoli, but you don't know if their injuryes get worse...

Trust me Stuart, Del Piero is ahead of Mutu in the choices.

I didn't mean that Zala and Mutu were the back-ups to the first choice pair, I meant that they came on in place of Trez and Zlatan against Empoli. The post was in response to Orgut's question of what the formation and team was in the Empoli game.

I think that you're right about Del Piero being ahead of Mutu. It's still early days but I get the feeling that Capello doesn't like Adrian all that much. He's no Del Piero fanatic either but Ale's hero-like status probably puts him slightly ahead of Mutu in the pecking order. Cap seems to prefer Zala to both DP and Mutu atm though.

Sure he'll bag a hat-trick in 3 mins
After our Empoli destruction, maybe I'm Chicken Little here, but I worry that we won't be talking Ascoli seriously enough.

Holding Milan to a draw (OK, it was dumping) and then holding Lecce to a clean sheet at their home stadium... Ascoli could prove to be what Chievo was to us last season.

well there is still some time. for the game.
i didnt know that pessoto is injured ??
i liked how balza played though so i think hes good to start ahead of cassano.

mybe alex could get the nod in the 2nd half if he played a good game against brugge in midweek
